When Sports Fans Go Nuts

There are many different types of fans. Some of them are extremely quiet during games, but most of them are loud. This is due to the excitement and other high emotions that are experienced while watching their favorite team win a game. It doesn’t matter what the sport is, either, fans are all the same. When the fan’s team is losing, they’re usually not so loud, and in fact may be the total opposite. They may be so disappointed that they can’t even react to what’s going on.

Unfortunately, some fans feel that they can’t enjoy a good basketball, football or baseball game without the addition of alcoholic beverages. This is a very bad idea because sports and alcohol don’t go together, period. It doesn’t matter if a fan’s team is winning or losing, things are bound to get out of hand. The fans become too easily riled up and ready to fight, at the least provocation. This type of behavior will cause fans to be escorted out of stadiums, and even sometimes result in them being arrested.

Some fans are truly happy when their team wins the championship and they will celebrate appropriately afterwards. Unfortunately, some fans, especially if they’ve been drinking, will totally lose control if this happens. These are not normally mentally unstable people, either. Many of them are professionals who are just sensitive to the alcohol that they are drinking, as well as all the screaming and yelling around them. Everything happening all at once just causes certain people to snap, and things can become physical very quickly, sometimes leading to riots. Riots can be extremely dangerous and people can get very seriously hurt, and even killed. With huge mobs of people going wild, hitting, punching and throwing things simultaneously, things can get deadly, fast. Fans don’t even realize what they’re doing until it’s all over with, and they aren’t in the proper state of mind to stop and think about what they’re doing and how it’s not making them look like real, true loyal fans. It makes them appear to be more like wild animals, instead.

Fans need to leave the alcohol and drugs at home, which will help to prevent much of the out-of-control behavior that goes on at these games. Not all the irrational and violent behavior involves alcohol, but a great deal of it does.
